Smart Speaker Enclosures
2,000 acoustically-tuned enclosures with assembled drivers — printed, finished, kitted, and delivered retail-ready.
Overview
An audio startup's launch hinged on 2,000 launch units with enclosure acoustics their injection-molding supplier could not tune in time. Voxelcrest took the enclosure from acoustic simulation to finished, kitted goods: internal rib geometry tuned for the driver, matte soft-touch finishing, driver assembly, and retail packaging — all in nine weeks.
The Challenge
Enclosure resonance makes or breaks small speakers, and every unit had to sound identical. That meant locked acoustic geometry, batch sampling against a reference frequency curve, and finishing that felt premium — at a per-unit cost a startup could survive.
Our Approach
We iterated rib patterns against acoustic measurements, locked the winning geometry, then ran scheduled production with sampling against the reference curve. Drivers were assembled in-house, units burn-in tested, and finished goods kitted with cables and guides for direct-to-retail delivery.
