Two-Meter Pavilion Model
A 1:50 exhibition model in 34 invisible-seam sections — printed, painted, finished, and lit for an international design biennale.
Overview
An architecture studio needed a hero model for a biennale reveal: two meters of pavilion at 1:50 scale, with readable facade texture, interior lighting, and a finish worthy of press photography. Voxelcrest split the geometry into 34 keyed sections, printed them on large-format machines, and finished the assembly to gallery standards.
The Challenge
Seams are the enemy of scale models — and so is time. Thirty-four sections had to join invisibly, survive international freight, and assemble on-site in under a day by two people with no special tools.
Our Approach
Hidden keying and magnetic alignment made assembly foolproof; a section map and numbered crates made freight and setup painless. The finishing studio matched the studio's exact facade palette, and warm LED strips were embedded before final paint so the model glowed from within.
